The Isreali Defence Force regularly and routinely drops White Phosphorus ON CHILDREN.
These are US-made incendiary munitions.
Unlike Syria, both the US and the State of Isreal are signitorys to international treaties and international laws banning the use of Chemical Weapons under all circumstances in global armed conflicts.
These laws are very specific - they have to be.
A can of Axe Body spray is not an weapon of mass destruction.
A shell-casing loaded with a weaponised delivery payload of Sarrin Gas clearly is.
White Phosphorus ("Willie-P") is instantly and immediately recognisable - it is SPECIFICALLY BANNED for use as a weapon against any living human being, being classed as a Chemical Weapon and Weapon of Mass Destruction, by virtue of the fact of what it does to you when it lands on you.
The existing body of international law concerning White Phosphorus is absolutely, categorically, and totally unambiguous
It is absolutely ILLEGAL to use or deploy as a weapon of War, against anyone, regardless of whether they be military combatants or otherwise - such use, definitionally constitutes a War Crime and a Crime against Humanity.
I understand that it also say so on all the shell-casings, they stencil it on at the factory to avoid any misunderstandings.
However: there is an exemption.
White Phosphorus incendiary munitions CAN be made, sold, manufactured and traded freely, even fired and deployed in-theatre in a hot shooting war;
PROVIDED, that the are used ONLY and SOLELY to provide night-time battlefield illumination.
Doesn't explain why the IDF habitually lob them over the fence into Gaza around 3.30 in the afternoon, right around about Home Time....
