Predator drones move incredibly slowly and they are incredibly accurate. When they begin an attack run, they line up and come straight ahead towards the person they are targeted on.
We know from details that have emerged of the Anwar Al-Awalaki assassination, human assets on the ground gave him a homing device for the drone to lock onto.
The captured Al-Qaeda document recoverd by AP specifies that (in there estimation) a gliding drone traveles around 6km / hr - this is probably a LITTLE slow, but since they do glide, rather than rely on powered flight, it's not completely ridiculous.
The point is, if you are not the subject of a targeted drone attack (and very, VERY few people ever will be), there is no excuse for being killed by one.
If you are with someone and you see a drone lining up to carry out an attack run, zeroing straight in for your Great Uncle Ibrahim, there is absolutely no reason it should result in your death, other than you were just stupid and didn't run away.
